The way we listen to a song has come a long way in a very short period of time. In only a few years we have gone from listening to a song on records, cassette tapes and even 8 track tapes to digital music or listening to your favorite song on an mp3 or an ipod.
I can't remember that last time I purchased records, tapes or cds. The current generation has never listened to records or tapes. Although I still have a collection of records and a few cassette tapes, I rarely listen to them.
The advent of digital music and the ipod has left all the other formats in the dust. There is an argument by audiophiles that an analog song on a record or "vinyl" sounds better or "warmer" than the same song on cds or a digital version. You be the judge.
